The extension accesses the content of the LinkedIn job page you are currently viewing (specifically the job description, title, and company name) **only when you explicitly click the "Generate" button**. This text is transiently processed to construct the prompt for the AI. We do not store this data on our servers.

### B. API Keys
To function, the extension requires you to provide your own Google Gemini API Key. This key is stored locally on your device using your browser's local storage capabilities (`chrome.storage`). We do not have access to your API key, and it is never transmitted to us or any third-party server other than directly to Google's Gemini API endpoints for the purpose of generating the text.

### C. Generated Content
The motivation letters generated by the extension are displayed locally in the extension's popup. We do not track, log, or store the content you generate.

## 3. Third-Party Services
This extension interacts with **Google Gemini API** to generate text. When you generate a letter, the job description text and your prompt preferences are sent directly from your browser to Google's servers. ## 4. Data Storage
All settings (theme preference, API key, tone/length preferences) are stored locally on your browser instance using `chrome.storage.local`. You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser's extension data.
